What Home Care Rate Card is

An independent directory of licensed non-medical home care agencies. We do not provide care, employ or place caregivers, or recommend one agency over another. Nothing on this site is medical, legal or financial advice.

Prices are the agency’s own

Every price on a rate card is published by the agency that signed it, and the agency is responsible for its accuracy. We check the agency’s state license and record who signed and when. We do not set, estimate or guarantee any price. Confirm the price for your situation with the agency before care starts.

Dates and expiry

Each card shows the date it was signed. A card not confirmed within 90 days is marked out of date. Out-of-date prices may no longer apply.

Wrong prices

If an agency quotes you something different from its card, tell us through the contact page. We will ask the agency to correct it and take the card down until it does.

For families

Using the directory is free. When you ask an agency to call you, we pass your details to that agency only, directly or through our team. Choosing an agency is your decision; check its license and ask for references.

For agencies: the listing

Every agency with an active state license is listed for free, with an honest blank card until it signs one. Listings are always in alphabetical order. Nobody can pay to rank higher.

For agencies: the verified rate card

Free for the first six months for agencies in the Los Angeles County pilot. After that, $49 a month or $490 a year, flat, with no setup fee and no charge per family. Agencies that join during the pilot keep $49 a month while they stay. Cancel any time: your card stays up until the end of the period you paid for, and your free listing stays.

What an agency confirms when it signs

That the rates are the ones it charges today, that the person signing may publish them, and that it will re-sign or update the card when rates change. We may take down a card that is wrong or misleading.

Contacts

We count calls, callback requests and requests for a rate card, and report them to the agency. We never sell contact details, and agencies do not pay per contact.

Our liability

The directory is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the care an agency provides, for prices an agency charges, or for decisions made using this site.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date.
